And it’s That Time of the Week Again.

So this week has been hectic, what with the packing and the bleeding and such, so again, I only have a few photos for you. Yes, I know, I will try and be better next week and keep my camera charged for the move.

We should have our keys on Friday 29th Feb.

Our plan at the moment is to do a final inspection on Thursday, sign all the forms and receive the keys Friday and move on Saturday/Sunday.

Saturday night should see us sleeping in our new place for the first time!

The house needs a good clean before we can move anything in, because they have been smoking inside and honestly who knows what is hiding in the carpet? So Friday afternoon we will be getting our hands dirty in order to make the new house clean.

Not to mention the kitchen! How am I supposed to make delicious food like this when the kitchen has had goodness knows what in it?

Click on the photos to get the recipes.

So yes, packing, cleaning, moving, unpacking, cleaning is the order of the coming week. Exciting times, my friends, very exciting.

Even more exciting than that? (stop rolling your eyes, this is exciting. honest)

We can get a puppy in the new place!

Yay puppy!

Toddler entertainer in one (not so) tidy little package. I am looking forward to it. You should too.

Because we have been busy this week, this is how Amy has spent all her time.

Pick me up.

Standing at my legs, clinging to me and asking to be picked up. She doesn’t want to cuddle, she just wants to travel around the house on my hip thanks.

Mummy-transport! No need to fear the Mummy-unions (do we have unions? I want a union membership plskthnx) because Mummy-transporters can always be paid in kisses. Or chocolate. Or sleep.

All the cool babies get Mummy-transporters. Unfortunately Amy seems to think her Mummy-transporter needs constant attention (in the form of a toddler-ball-and-chain attached to my leg) or else I will magically run away and disappear. (Like to the toilet! *GASP*)

Life is hard for the Toddlers of the world I am sure.

So exciting! You should take a page from Amy’s book and go all limp when she climbs on you for transport. That’ll get a puzzled look on her face 😉

what type of dog are you going to get? I love golden retreivers myself. In the past I’ve had german shepherds (grew up with them). I once had a g.s./ border collie cross. Fantastic dog, so easy to train.

Do you have a baby carrier? When my kids are whiny and fussy, they live on my back (they can squirm and scream, but can’t go anywhere LOL).

You need one!!

A puppy? Yay! We are planning on getting one for Julia for her birthday in June, since our dog passed away this winter. A puppy – so fun!

I remember that Mommy-Transporter phase. Fondly. The tables turn quickly. It seems like one day, you can’t hold them enough. And the next? They want their sweet, sweet freedom and Mommy is the opposite of that!

Mmmmm @ your foodie shots. You are a queen at preparing delights!

I used to love using the baby carrier with Braden, but nowadays he just wants me to pick him up and carry him around repeatedly, with a stop for him to get down and then back up again at will, constantly.

SIGH.

So excited for you about the move and your very own house! 😀

Man, now I am hungry again…A puppy will be awesome, and think of the photos! Amy and a puppy in the same photo — total cuteness overload potential there!

I have my own cling on these days too — both dogs have to be within five feet of me at all times, except when they go lay in the sunshine…much easier to deal with though, since I can lock them in the backyard with a big old beef bone and they will be happy for hours…

I LOVED MOVING INTO OUR HOUSE.

I’m like ‘there’s our house.’
‘Here’s our house.’
‘Look at our house.’

So exciting.

Good luck!

Tip: dont.Shove.Everything.With.Everything.Else..
Pack one box with everything you will need for 1 night incase its dark when you finish or the power isn’t on or you are too tired to unpack.

torch, blanket, toilet paper.

One tip for moving in day. Get the coffee/tea and dinner things unpacked, then get the beds made up before anything else. That way you can have that reviving cup of whatever and when you’re exhausted the beds are ready to fall into. Everything else can be done at a more leisurely pace, much easier when you’ve had a few minutes sleep here and there.
