You're at the top of your class. You can eat your lunch....really. Whenever my 3-year-old isn't keen on doing something, he drops to all fours, crawls over to me and rubs against my shins and says, 'But I'm a kitty cat!". Because kitty cats can't pick up toys/ put on their own socks/ bring me that piece of paper, etc. Original, to be sure, but a bit irritating... I'm allergic to cats, you see! Ha! My 9 year old stepdaughter gets tummy aches at the drop of a hat. It's impressive. And weird, too, how the one item on her plate that she doesn't want to eat incidentally makes her tummy hurt. Weird. Run her a bath, warm a towel she'll purr like a cat. Other days she so shockingly independent. Really love Amy's plea - I get days like that too! Now that is embarrasing at my age, although I am quite little at under five foot but that isn't what she means really I don't think. Even on occassion my 17 year old son will respond to - nite ba ba's - a childhood baby name and he will respond nite mum mum! I think Amy and I have a great deal in common - husband told me to stop tantruming the other day and I just couldn't stop myself despite being fully aware that I was being unreasonable. Being a little girl sometimes can be so tiring. This post brought the biggest smile to my face on an otherwise grey February day. My 19 year old somedays still likes to be called baby. We have the same except my son says "I'm just a baby". The fact that he is a very tall, very capable three year old makes it quite funny. You know what is the saddest part of all? When I oblige and pick him up or whatever it is he 'can't' do he is SO happy and doesn't go on about being a baby anymore. Funny little things aren't they! I love it!
