My blood test results came back. Finally!
I have only been bothering them since Friday! Okay, so my progesterone levels were low, not horribly low, just lower than they should be in a normal cycle. He confirmed with me that I had had the test done on exactly CD21 and then talked a little about the results.
When I first went in to see him, he seemed a bit dubious when I told him that I didn’t think my hormones ‘felt right’.
Now he actually believes me.
Nathan and I have a joint appointment to see him on Friday, so that I can be booked in for more blood tests. His words were ‘There may be some point to doing further tests’.
Ah, yeah, you don’t say.
I restrained myself wonderfully and didn’t spend the conversation going, ‘See? I TOLD you so!’
So we’re off to have more tests. Period is due on Thursday, so if it doesn’t show up I will be asking for a pregnancy test as well. You know, just in case

Well I’m glad they’re finally listening to you. Our own intuition is something that Western cultures just don’t give enough credit to in my opinion.

It’s so often you know what’s going before you even talk to any doctors. And so satisfying when you can say told you so!

Surprise, surprise. They tell you what you have been telling them all along.
When I went to hospital a few times this year with bad pains, I was told to go home. After the 4th time they decided to do some tests to see what was actually wrong.
I knew it was something in my digestion
It’s a relief when they tell you ‘the problem you have is to do with your sensitive stomach which has now progressed to IBS.You need to do this, this and this’
But it took nearly 6 months to get this diagnosis. NOT HARD PEOPLE.
It’s a relief though, isnt it?
Keep having tests, keep working at it. Make them do it. In the meantime work on the other thing you have been working on (‘just in case’)
There are old wives tales for getting pregnant, ave you tried them all?
