Here is our lovely list of people participating:

Kelli from Kebeni is choosing to home school her children.

Kristin from Wanderlust: If you read nothing else I ever post, read this. An aftermath of domestic violence.

Marita from Leechbabe: Just a little OCD. In which I discuss dish washing and husbands.

Nikki from Styling You: Spring Carnival. No matter how many times I write about what not to wear on Melbourne Cup Day, I witness some horror stories.  I’m hoping this year will be different.  (A girl’s got to dream, hasn’t she?)

Lucy from Diminishing Lucy: Lush. A frank admission of past addictions….

Veronica Foale: Lost Identity. The identity loss that comes with motherhood.

Bianca at Bigwords: For my friend… is a blog I wrote to my best friend from my childhood. It was something I had to write. My heart ached when I wrote it and I feel really proud of it.

Megan at Writing Out Loud: Twelve Years Ago. Twelve years ago, I met the man of my dreams. This is our story.

This Growing Life: 10 things I love doing in the garden with my children. It’s spring, so time to head into the garden with your children.

Lori at Random Ramblings of a SAHM: Getting Vlogging Wit It. A first time video-blog. with my husband being a moron in the background.

This Comic Life: Pressure to be pretty exhausts me. Comedian Jenny Wynter takes an honest warts-and-all look at her own efforts to ‘scrub up well’.

EmmaK at Mommy has a Headache: Recipe for Mr Right. Take a handful of muscle and two cups of wit. What have you got? A Recipe for Mr Right

MumtoJ: But you said….. My little man is a literal thinker so I thought I’d share a few recent conversations that I’ve had with him, sooooo funny at times 🙂

Anything, Everything & Inbetween: The Husband Survey. Anything, Everything & Inbetween takes a closer look at the male inhabitant of the household. Behold! The Guru…

Be a Fun Mum: Sorry the house is in a mess. A friend dropped over. I knew this friend wouldn’t care about the state of my house but I heard myself say, “Sorry the house is in a mess.”  And it was!  It looked terrible. It’s not just me who says it. I’ve heard it over and over when I visit friends.  Why do we do it? Why do we apologise?

This Mid 30s Life: Outsmarting the Heathrow Injection. I created this blog soon after moving to London with my husband and two small children.. My blog is about a little bit of everything. The only real guidelines I have are that I keep it positive (no bitching about a bad day, for instance) and I keep stories about my husband to a minimum – he made me promise!”

Mm is for me: Loving memories. A good-bye to an amazing lady.

Under the Yardarm: This moment. The moment I remembered why I do what I do.

A Cajun Down Under: Touristy Tuesdays: Tailgating – Tiger Style. The most fun a Cajun girl and her Aussie can have without getting arrested.

Maid in Australia: Stuff that shits me. Usually known for her good manners and sunny disposition, Bronnie Marquardt pulls on her cranky pants and gets all stabby. What pisses you off?

Nellbe at Nellbe’s Gluten Free Kitchen talks about the tough gig we have as Mothers in her post Being a Mother

From Toushka: Showing no cracks. Mums in the Christchurch Earthquake share their stories

Farmers Wifey: A pile of crap. Farmers Wifey shares the trials and tribulations of living in a shed with limited space and storage.

The Muffin Monster Bubbalug Blog: A new body shape. Move over apples and pears, there’s a NEW body shape!

Moments of Whimsy: Cocktails at Naptime. My woefully inadequate review of Cocktails at Naptime – the book that shall be known in this household as a potential contraceptive device for my teenage daughter. ( Bless you Cocktails at Naptime.)

Naomi from Seven Cherubs. Motherhood: Follow your passion. Following my passion of mothering – it knows where I should go.

Jadeluxe. STEPB/-OE . An introduction to my job as a stenographer (court reporter).  Is this the ideal job for word-loving bloggers?  I think so…

Make sure you share the love and visit and read these amazing posts!

Thanks for being our beautiful hostess this month! xo

Veronica November 9, 2010 at 9:08 pm

You’re welcome! Rather annoying I couldn’t make the ‘grab code’ thing work. Stupid wordpress.

MaidInAustralia November 8, 2010 at 9:36 am

Oh thanks so much for hosting us this month, and thank you for including me in such awesome company. Looking forward to doing lots of reading, laughing, crying, and commenting. xo

Kelly Be A Fun Mum November 8, 2010 at 10:38 am

Oh YAY! Will be back later with a cup of tea!

Geoff November 8, 2010 at 10:50 am

This is just bloody awesome. So many fantastic blogs and posts in one place. Will have to RSS as many of these as I can.

From next year I’m going to be a SAHD, so I can watch your thoughts from the outside.

Cheers.

Veronica November 8, 2010 at 11:25 am

You do know we’re looking for an Aussie daddyblogger for some paid work… Maybe you need a blog to complement your twitter account.

Geoff November 8, 2010 at 11:29 am

Oh really? That would be so cool. I’ll be at home for at least the next two years with twin girls whilst doing further study.

I have a website (www.geoffrollins.com), so maybe your prompt will be the impetus for me to add a blog as well. Cool!

Geoff November 8, 2010 at 11:29 am

Sorry, double post…

Veronica November 8, 2010 at 11:33 am

That’s okay 🙂

You should add a blog, I’m always after new ones to add to my reader and twin girls, what could be more fun?

Geoff November 8, 2010 at 11:28 am

Lucy November 8, 2010 at 12:14 pm

Veronica, thank you for hosting. Off to Tweet now…..

@Geoff – I suspect I “know” you from another place – HUGE congratulations on the twins!

Geoff November 8, 2010 at 12:17 pm

Lucy, one and the same. Been a long time! I recently left the forum for good. Couldn’t handle it anymore. I really missed your contributions, Cat Deeley. You were my favourite admin EVAH.

Lucy November 8, 2010 at 12:23 pm

Oh Geoff, how funny, I had forgotten all about Cat Deeley – you just made me splurt coffee on my keyboard. Again. Time changes nothing….

Geoff, I suspect that you will find a whole new (and much more mature and interesting and enjoyable) online community via blogging, especially if you are going to be a SAHD.

Off to stalk your website now……xx

A Cajun Down Under November 8, 2010 at 2:32 pm

Crikey! I haven’t read last year’s carnival posts and it’s carnival time again already? Oh Boy. Time flies.

Veronica November 9, 2010 at 9:09 pm

These are the monthly ones from AMB – they do come around quickly though!

Megan @ Writing Out Loud November 8, 2010 at 7:52 pm

Just finished reading – talk about an amazing array of posts!

MuffinMonsterBB November 8, 2010 at 10:37 pm

Oh I just got through them all! Some good varied readings this month 🙂

Farmers Wifey November 8, 2010 at 11:17 pm

SQUEEEE! So loving this blog carnival!

Kelly Be A Fun Mum November 9, 2010 at 9:06 pm

Finished! Loved it! Just one thing. Oh blogspot… why does leaving a comment have to be so hard??

Veronica November 9, 2010 at 9:11 pm

I know, there is all the clicky clicking and the captchas (HATE captchas) and things. Blogger should create a spam filter thing so we can do away with captchas.

Big John T November 9, 2010 at 11:54 pm

As you have closed commenting on the other blog, I will write here publicly.

By your own admission, Veronica, and I quote:-

“If I missed something, which is possible, then that is because I am human”

Your blog has upset someone, so if the information in that blog is incorrect, why have it, as it is misleading.

You have been asked, kindly, to remove the blog as it contains incorrect information, but you will not.

All of the negative comments posted by others haven’t taken in to consideration that this blog is factually incorrect. There is nothing illogical about that, as some have suggested, it is as plain as day. You cannot post a blog about someone where the facts may be wrong, or maybe, in your eyes that is ok.

Nat3ds November 10, 2010 at 7:50 am

Seriously, What world do you live in?. Just because YOU think something is factually incorrect that doesn’t make it so and if I asked kindly if you could take a walk of a cliff would you do it??. The internet is not the land of milk and honey, if you read something you don’t agree with or upsets you simply click away.

Geoff November 10, 2010 at 7:56 am

Could I respectfully ask that you piss off and get a life?

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 8:41 am

Nat3ds

I don’t think that it is factually incorrect, I know so, all the evidence is there, if you want to find it. Obviously you haven’t bothered.

Geoff

Yes I will, once the fake blog is removed, I mean that most respectfully and without any malice.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 8:46 am

Please read this:-

Veronica has freely admitted now that she may have made a mistake with some of her ‘facts’, and I quote Veronica, from the blog in question:-

“If I missed something, which is possible, then that is because I am human”

This makes a complete mockery of her blog, how can you accuse people of things, when your information is or may be incorrect – that was our problem. Don’t lie about people, very publicly, and then expect them to lie back and take it, that is why I responded.

Also, I have asked Veronica several times for the original (twitter) screenshots that she has very carefully edited for the blog, but she just ignores me. Instead she has demanded that I provide the twitter timeline myself, but I have repeatedly told her (and everyone) that it is freely and publicly available on the internet, if anyone can be bothered to look.

They won’t, because I have already pointed out that there are some discrepancies when compared to Veronica’s blog, which of course, comes as no great surprise.

Unfortunately for Veronica, her reputation is on the line now, and we do not want her to suffer, we just asked her to remove the ‘faked’ blog, but she said, and I quote again, “no”. Maybe it would be just too hard to back down now.

Remove the fake blog, and all this will go away.

Veronica November 10, 2010 at 8:55 am

I didn’t screenshot the entire tweet stream, as TAS tweeted so many links I couldn’t get the @ replies to frogponds all in the one screenshot.

Instead, I screenshotted things – pasted them into photoshop and then cropped the tweet that mentioned frogpondsrock from amongst everything else and saved that part. I am not savvy enough with photoshop to know how to do much more than that with a screenshot, hence the reason they are seperate images on the post, not all one image.

I used the time stamps on the tweets to put the conversation together in the order the tweets were tweeted.

I’m explaining this for anyone else who might be interested. Like you said, the tweets are in the public timeline, so anyone else can check this.

Nat3ds November 10, 2010 at 9:24 am

“Remove the fake blog, and all this will go away.” W T F?. I have read everything thus my first comment. Sometimes with self obsessed insular persons such as yourself it can be immpossible to take any form of direct/indirect criticism and instead have to lash out. This type of behaviour is fairly commom on the net and can lead to suicide.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:28 am

You obviously haven’t read exactly what is really going on here.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:30 am

You are really self-righteous, get to know the facts first before making your ill-informed judgment.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:18 am

But you have added other tweets that didn’t belong to that conversation to make TAS look bad, in favour of your mother. Adding tweets from other conversations to embellish your point, makes it totally fake, which as you say, everyone can check.

The casual viewer of your blog isn’t aware of this one very important detail, that frogpondsrock is your mother, is not mentioned in your blog at all, and which means that it is a faked blog, with a bias and hidden agenda, please remove it.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:21 am

You really don’t get it, do you? This blog has really offended someone, a blog which is totally fake, and you should remove it, if you have any honour at all.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:23 am

I have had vehement attacks, extremely rude emails, swearing, fake twitter accounts created to abuse TAS, because your mother was extremely rude on twitter, and got blocked, so, to get her revenge, everyone has had to endure this rubbish.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:25 am

I have also had some very serious threats, all documented by the way.

When the blog is removed, I will go away and forget this whole sorry mess.

Nat3ds November 10, 2010 at 9:28 am

“I have had vehement attacks, extremely rude emails, swearing, fake twitter accounts created to abuse TAS”. Now who’s telling fibs?

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:32 am

You have no idea what has gone on, see what I have said above, you really are blinkered.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:49 am

Veronica has freely and publicly admitted now that she may have made a mistake with some of her ‘facts’, and I quote Veronica, from the actual blog in question:-

“If I missed something, which is possible, then that is because I am human”

This makes a complete mockery of her blog, without any truth in it, it must be a work of fiction.

Nat3ds November 10, 2010 at 9:47 am

Oh shit! I’m sorry I have gotten it all wrong, you must be in so much pain. It’s okay I have a plan, we blow up the internet so your never hurt like this again. It’s a very simple process, on the count of 3 close your eyes turn 180 degrees and walk forwards. Ready 1..2..3..GO.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:49 am

See above

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 9:52 am

All that was asked, was to remove a faked blog that deliberately put down someone, with false information, which part of that don’t you understand?

Nat3ds November 10, 2010 at 10:09 am

1. I understand what you refer to as a “faked blog” is actually a post.
2. I understand that sleepless nights was using the info from twitter to make a point of what happens when main stream net tech can cause misunderstanding AS AN EXAMPLE and not to hurt anyone.
3. I understand this is a trustworthy blog site and I have complete confidence that all information is true and correct to the best of the authors ability.
4. I understand that you seem to be making other people very angry with your continued bashing of a blogger who is both professional and entertaining.

Big John T November 10, 2010 at 10:22 am

Well, you have been misled. Veronica has admitted she may have made a mistake with the twitter timeline, which actually makes someone else look bad.

If she didn’t want to hurt anyone, she should have made sure that the twitter tweets were kept anonymous. Please read my previous comments, again, as you seem to have missed some key points as well.

It is obviously not a trustworthy site as people believe. If she were so honest, trustworthy and cared about not hurting people, she wouldn’t have made excuses, and then told us to go away. Maybe she would have even apologised.

Have all the confidence you want in this site, but it may blinker you to the fact that it is a distorted and factually incorrect post.

These blogs are only entertaining if they don’t offend people, but they have, and Veronica and her mother being rude diminishes their respectability a great deal, and maybe that is why everyone is so angry. It is difficult to admit that you have made a mistake, and to keep face.

Just remove the post and all this will stop, then she can become a respectable blogger again.

Ash November 14, 2010 at 10:17 am

Phew! I just finished reading them all and I’m so glad I did! Thanks so much Veronica!
