Australian Blogging Conference

With the help of some amazing ladies, Brenda and I have been getting the balls rolling to organise our own Australian Blogging Conference, with a bent towards personal and mummy bloggers. Think BlogHer, but Australian.

And so, now, we’re asking for YOUR help.

Yes you. You lurker. And you, my favourite commenters ever.

We have a survey running, asking which city you’d attend a conference in (Sydney or Melbourne) and the kind of things you’d like to hear spoken about.

I would really REALLY love if you could fill out a survey and let us know your ideas, so we can finalise some details and get into the nuts and bolts planning stage.

Survey! Fill it out here. Please.

With lots of thanks to Karen, Nicole, Brenda and Tina.

If you’d like to add anything else, not seen in the survey, feel free to add it here and we’ll discuss it.

I’m excited. This is a really big deal for Australian Personal and Mummy Bloggers.

It’s you and me babe, all the way.

Annabel Candy, Get In the Hot Spot August 10, 2010 at 2:30 pm

Oh any but I prefer Brisbane!

Veronica August 10, 2010 at 2:35 pm

Annabel – I prefer Tassie. Hehehe.

Hey Veronica! This is so exciting – and will definitely garner attention and momentum as it progresses.

I’m in like Flynn, baby. Yeah!

Brisbane!

Veronica August 10, 2010 at 2:44 pm

At this point in time, because our organisers are eithr Sydney or Melbourne based (except me) those are the 2 cities we’re looking at. In the future, for conference #2, we could look at holding it in a different capital city 🙂

Kylie August 10, 2010 at 3:17 pm

I’m also with Brisbane. 🙁

Fiona August 10, 2010 at 4:28 pm

Not if it was a mummy blog conf. Perhaps a women’s blogger one. But I’ve completed the survey with that caveat.

Barbara August 10, 2010 at 5:08 pm

Wow, good for you guys! Sadly I can’t make either venue but rest assured if I had any spare money I would be there with bells on.

Perhaps Marylin, Kristin and I could video-conference in?!

rachael August 10, 2010 at 5:16 pm

Wow excellent. I’ll be no help, but good for you.

Filled out your survey, but in reality I probably wouldn’t attend. There’s the money issue, and a room full of strangers too. I’d end up hiding in a corner.

Kathy August 10, 2010 at 7:30 pm

Filled out the survey too. I’m there if it’s Melb, and will send you kisses if it’s Sydders (not a cost issue but a logistics one with a still-breastfeeding toddler and the other kids’ schedules to manage et al).

WarsawMommy August 10, 2010 at 8:07 pm

Gah. Drats. Darn. I cannot attend 😉

But I hope hope hope ya’ll get it organised!

Marylin August 10, 2010 at 8:54 pm

I sooo want there to be videos of the conferences… maybe a live stream for the bloggers who’re there to pop on and say hi too? Pretty please? *flutters eyes*

katef August 10, 2010 at 9:39 pm

so what I need to know is how long do I have to save up for this?? Cause I am NOT missing out, even if I have to sell one of my children to get the airfare to Sydney (not surprisingly the children are hoping it is held in Melbourne and I can just drive! LOL)

Veronica August 10, 2010 at 9:46 pm

Kate – March 2011 is the projected date 🙂

Arienette August 10, 2010 at 10:28 pm

Very obviously I wouldnt be able to come, but if you hold another one the next year? I’m there with bells on. Wherever you hold it. Brissy is easier because I have legitimate reasons to be in Brisbane, but also harder because I would have to come up with a reason to those legitimate reasons why I’m not actually around!

Martin August 11, 2010 at 6:23 am

Well I’M in…

Other Fiona August 14, 2010 at 1:31 pm

How exciting – well done for getting something organised.
Filled out the form and could do either Sydney or Melbourne.
Would love to have a chance to meet the other bloggers I read IRL!
