Christmas In Synopsis – With Photos

in Life

Christmas was fantastic. We started the day at 6.30am (gee, thanks Amy!) and we had a ball. Amy really enjoyed opening her gifts.

My family started to arrive at lunchtime and it was then I realised that we may have a little too much food. Not to worry, we struggled through and managed to consume a good portion of it. It was such a chore though ;)

Appetisers

These are just the appetisers. We filled 2 tables, the top of the fireplace, the top of the chest of drawers and the top of the drier with food. I think we have have needed another table.

Amy had a ball playing up to the camera. She spent a good portion of the day just running around and having various people put food in her hands. She loved all the food and let everyone know.

There was alcohol.

Beer

Tequila

Sparkling Wine

Lots of alcohol.

Tequila Sunrises

And cordial for the kids.

Fizzy Cordial

And backyard cricket.

What is Christmas day without cricket?

There were near misses and Mum nearly lost the top of her head. Thanks David.

Amy got to kick back and relax, as balls whizzed around her. Luckily the bulk of the bats men and women were right handed. Only Daddy and David came anywhere near her with their cack-handed ways. Both are actually right handed, but they play cricket left handed, just to make my life difficult.

The Christmas tree looked fantastic once we moved it into the loungeroom.

Even if Amy has spent the morning today un-decorating it.

And the leftovers? We are going to be eating for a week on them. Delicious!

The only reason the fridge was allowed to be that messy overnight is because there is no raw meat in my fridge whatsoever. All the meat is cooked, so no cross contamination will be happening. I have actually restacked it this morning already, it is still very full though.

Amy got loads of presents, I am not going to need to buy toys at all! She also got enough books from us and everyone else to keep us in new reading material for a year!

So there you go, my Christmas in photos. I did get a little drunk for the first time in years, one benefit to not being pregnant! I had sobered up nicely by bedtime though, so I got to sleep through my headache and I feel fantastic today. Not so much at 12am when Amy was up for a while wanting to play though.

I hope everyone else had as great a day as we did.

I. hate. you. there in your short sleeves! It’s wet and yucky and COLD here today! It’s not even nice and white and snowy – just rainy and muddy and COLD (did I mention cold?).

But your holiday looks lovely – lots of fun! And the food – delicious! I was tasting it via computer screen, and it passed the test.

Sweet Amy! So cute! So fun! So mischievous! :)

YAY! Wonderful photos of christmas

I have ones of Jordon and Nathan playing on his new bike and one funny one of the three of us in santa hats. Damn having no internet at home otherwise I could upload them! I spent christmas night with jordon in his bedroom with a projector toy he got from grandma, taking turns shining it on the wall in the dark.

I lost my bank card out of my handbag christmas day…so I had a bit of a struggle and could only apply for another one today.

Maybe this time next year you will have two children for you guys to spend christmas with!
This time last year Amy was only a few months old wasnt she? and the year before you were only just pregnant!

(what about the christmas after next, huh huh?)
