If I Had A Camera…

in Life

…I could show you the paw prints that the possum has left all over my freezer. I could show you the 10 peaches left on my tree that I am guarding. I could have shown you the 200+ peaches I started with.

…I could show you where Amy tipped a full box of cat food onto the concrete floor in front of the freezer. I could have shown you how she feeds the cat the cat food. One piece at a time.

…I could have shown you the blood after Amy jumped (jumped!?) off my stairs and split her lip. I could have shown you how she landed on her head and how she was a very sad baby until naptime.

…I could have shown you the blue tongue lizard that lives under my bush, alongside the cat.  I could have shown you how he came out yesterday morning to sun himself and how the cat is scared of him.

…I could have shown you the cat’s HUGE belly. You could have made up your own mind about whether she is pregnant or not. (Hey, anyone want a kitten? No? Shit.)

…I could have shown you how Amy got stuck half in and half out of her toybox. You could have seen how she was just hanging upside down, stuck.

…You could see how I now have 20 odd potato plants growing, but no beans, silverbeet or anything else I planted.

…You could see how annoyed I am that Amy just woke up from her nap, much much too early. Shit.

Maybe a good thing I don’t have a camera anymore?

Too bad you don’t have that camera.

I have had my camera for 4 years and it lives in my handbag. It goes everywhere with me and in turn I get those ‘Kodak Moments’

My favourite is Jordon talking to a donkey…the donkey looks like he is really listening.

Dont give up on getting a new one…

Perhaps if Amy continues to wake early from her naps, she may be more tired at bedtime and sleep longer? When my 4 gave up their morning naps, I switched their afternoon naps to an earlier time, so by bedtime they were often really tired and slept well. Worth a try?

Aww, I miss you having a camera.

Don’t you love it when they do stupid stuff and then there’s blood and crying. Argh!
