Isaac’s first haircut.

in Isaac

We cut Isaac’s hair last week, before he decided to throw himself off the couch and fracture his arm.

It was traumatic, just a little. Isaac was terrified of the hair clippers – they aren’t noisy, but they vibrate and he hated it. It was a nightmare for all of us, as he wiggled and screamed, but at the risk of leaving him looking like a badly shorn lamb, we continued. Well, we continued after we swaddled him to keep his hands from flailing everywhere.

His hair was long and kept getting in his eyes, so it needed to be done, but *sob* where did my baby go?

Before:

After: (note, the grumpy expression is because his towel was falling off his shoulder. He’s a big fan of things around his shoulders, scarves, towels, anything he can drape and run around with.)

Yes. That is my mobile phone that he is ‘talking’ on.

Where did my baby go? He’s almost 18.5 months old.

My god.

If you liked this, share!

Love these pics! Isn’t it amazing how much a haircut changes them from looking like babies to toddlers?
Poor little man, I hope he’s recovering ok. xox

Oh he is so cute! He definitely looks older after his haircut – but he’s still your baby boy :)

It’s amazing how a haircut changes their whole ‘look’ and suddenly they’re more grown up, the baby is disappearing fast.
Love the pics :)

Awww. It’s amazing how quickly a haircut ages them. Isaac will always be your baby.

Bye-bye baby, hello little boy ;-) But Joyce-Anne is right, he will always be your baby. My ‘baby’ is 26 now and my ‘big’ boy is 31 lol!

he is so gorgeous….

We have just been through the same thing…My 2 year old was flat out terrified of getting his haircut so we put it off for so long until his hair was ridiculously long and crazy…We finally got him to go along with my Dad when he got his haircut and my little boy let the 70 year old italian barber cut his hair without a fuss….but, i too, have been looking at him since then wondering when my baby turned into a little boy!

How quickly they grow up…

Kim’s right, he does look like he’s closing a business deal. Such a serious little face.

It’s amazing the difference a hair cut can make!

And I need photos of the blue and yellow quilt from the background of the second pic please! I don’t tend to like blue and yellow together, but that looks lovely :D
