There is a silence in the house, broken only by the faint sounds of the TV. Amy is upstairs, sleeping soundly, as is Nathan.
I can hear the wind whistling down the chimney, it rushes and roars, but I don’t hear it so much anymore. There are things I should be doing, I have a half read book that I want to finish, the dinner dishes sit in the sink and I have a load (or two) of washing that needs to go through the machine.
All that can wait for a bit.
My house is rarely peaceful.
I think I will enjoy it for a little longer.

Hey Veronica!
love your blog!
Thanks for commenting on my blog, cheeseinmyshoe…about thriftshooping. I’m so glad you got a moment of peace this morning! Sounds like you deserve that peace each and every day! We have much in commoon my friend! I’ve suffered with symptoms of chronic fatigue, although not formally diagnosed, and have three kids 7 and under. For me, lack of sleep is a HUGE factor, and I can see from you blog it is for you, too.
Have a wonderful day!
Pinky
That sounds wonderful! Enjoy it!
What?!! What is a peaceful house?!! I don’t understand. You must be speaking Greek.
Enjoy it!
Even in the middle of the night our home is not peaceful. LOL.
One day my time will come!
Hope Amy and Nathan slept for a long time and you got a good break.
It was so nice just to have a bit of peace, I should bottle the feeling and send it to you guys.
Oh, breathe deep in that moment. Deeeeep.
What a great time to catch your breath and relax.
I usually try to take some time for myself a few times a week, just so I can get that wonderful feeling of peace. Have your husband babysit and go for a nice long walk. It’s great for your health!
sleep is the best ( for us and them)my little one didn’t sleep well until she was 3…but all is well…
