Updates on Amy
She can climb to the top of the dryer, there she stays, dancing until I rescue her. As soon as I get within catching distance, she leaps at me shouting ‘Mumeeee!’ confident in the fact that I will catch her, no matter what.
She saw a mouse today, didn’t know what it was and promptly started to scream. Terrified screams. However later on, when I showed her the mouse caught in the trap, right before the cat bit said mouses head off? She was thrilled to bits to see it dead.
Bloodthirsty girl. My daughter.
We rarely have tantrums because Amy can tell me what she wants. However, when she wants a juice box and I won’t let her have one? Prepare to deal with bleeding ears. I am thinking that juice boxes are worse kiddy crack than chocolate milk. I am thinking that juice boxes will not be allowed in my house anymore.
Updates on Pregnancy
Nathan is pleased, if a little less involved than I am. Which he will be until we see an ultrasound I think. He is like that. Now his head starts turning over with all the things that need doing here before a baby can arrive. Be prepared for a winter full of posts about home renovations.
I am still sick, but I have done this before, I know what works. I sip cordial, not water, I don’t ever let my stomach get empty and if all else fails, I drink tea. I also avoid whatever I don’t think I can handle (read: coffee – smell and taste of, fried food and this time around, anything sweet – except cordial.) I am pleased to be sick because then I know, at this early stage, that things are hopefully where they should be.
I didn’t realise how stressed I had been about our lack of conception until today, I feel like I am missing a huge weight from my shoulders. It feels good. I feel good.
It is still early days. By my last period I am 4 and a half weeks, by conception dates (which I know off by heart, because I know EXACTLY when we had sex and there was hardly any of it this month, due to stress) I am 5 weeks. Due in late January or thereabouts. We have a lot, an awful freaking lot, of ground to traverse yet.
We will get there.
And please, if you get a moment, head on over and sprinkle baby dust at Xbox4NappyRash’s place. Xbox and his wife have been trying to conceive for over 12 months with no luck yet. They are off to see a specialist on Monday and they need all the support they can get.
And he will kill me for this. Hehe.

I guess I can stop writing the ditty about Veronica’s 2 soul babies who are fighting to get to come to be with her, but because there’s such a big fight about who gets to come to you FIRST it’s been sent to The Great Court on The Other Side. Unfortunately, that court system runs closely to what the court system runs in the USA and that means it could be a WHILE before it’s solved.
Apparently, the court has ruled and a soul has been chosen to bless you on this side. The OTHER one will have to wait his turn.

Amy needs a cape! Yesterday Wynnie decided that using an umbrella as she’s jumping off tall objects would slow her down. I’m now waiting for a broken leg.

How the heck does Amy get up on to the dryer!!?? I think you’d better pad the laundry floor with thick soft mattresses you know, for the times when you can’t catch as she leaps.
Are you thinking of baby names yet? I’m so happy Amy’s sibling has finally decided to join the family.
