I’m fairly sure I had a baby here not too long ago. What on earth happened?
Isaac at almost 14 months.

For the record, I did not help him get on or off the plane/toy/push-along-thing.
And Amy, for the love of chocolate, would someone PLEASE create a hairclip/hairtie that actually stays in her hair?

Her fringe is almost long enough to get pulled back with the rest of her hair, but even then, the tie slides out her hair, it is that fine and silky. Have I mentioned she starts Kindergarten in 11 months? I think my tiny baby has disappeared.
I know I blogged about it over on the (newly moved to it’s own domain) food blog, but look what I’ve got!

totally feel the same. just the other day i had a little baby, now i have a little boy who’s 2 and a half years old – little independent monster who refuses my help with everything!
your boy and girl are gorgeous. you’re so very, very lucky. My Boyfriend wants a little girl still, but I don’t know if I have it in me to start from scratch again….just when we’re so close to potty-training….
You have the most adorable children!!
ExMi – I know, the time flies. I’m not sure I could let my kids grow up and be independant and then go back to tiny babyhood. It’s a lovely thought, but for me personally, I’d prefer to get all the children hanging off my legs out of the way at once. But that’s me.
Thanks Renee!
I will swap Issac for Connor, still waiting for a first word or some steps from that boy
Your ducks look delicious!
oh Veronica, such gorgeous shots.
14 months? Wow.
I know what you mean, about them growing too fast. I was pregnant, like, yesterday, and my baby is turning two in three weeks.
*can’t believe it*
Tell me about it. Emily is climbing onto everything, even up onto the couch…………..
I miss the small and helpless days
GORGEOUS photos btw and muscovies? moscovies? MOSKOVIS?????
How do you spell that?
They are both looking so grown up! I’m with ExMi – not sure if I could go back to the completely helpless stage ever again… on the other hand, I would love a shot at having a girl. Not for a few years either way anyway, so time will tell I guess!
Man… Amy is so flippin grown up – when did that happen. When I fist started reading your blog, Issac wasn’t here and Amy was just a baby.
I’m going to suck my tumb under the cover now and hope that I can slow down the clock…
Gorgeous photos Veronica.
Have you tried using a headband instead of slides in Amy’s hair? There are lots of different types, maybe one would work
pinkbench.com … it’s the only headband in the world that stays in without hurting
I sent you a message….
Duckies!
And they are both adorable.
And as for the hair thing – I have no suggestions. My hair was like that almost my whole life and have found now that the only way to get it to stay “back” is to put it back when it’s just half-dry.
Alternatively, just have her face into the wind at all times. That seems to work out OK. (It’s a very pretty picture you have there)
How big is Issac? Sooooooo big!
It looks like Amy’s just got extremely fine hair. As someone with that problem, the only solution has ever been to put a lot of product in it first if I want it to a) have body, or b) stay up in any kind of fashion (finally, I just cut it all off, and it’s been very short for the last several years). Probably, until you’re ready to smear her head in mousse, you’ll need to grow it out a bit and settle for a braid.
You have learned the meanest thing about being a parent – children grow. Ceaselessly. And change. Unendingly.
And there’s no way to go back. No ‘do overs’. No rewind button.
Just ‘Forward’ – at breakneck speed, at that.
Wow, Amy looks so grown up in that second shot! They both do, actually. TIme flies….
Hair ties are impossible.
I know you must hear this a lot, but you have some beautiful, beautiful children.
Your babies are so darned adorable! Kindergarten in 11 months. Wow. That blows me away. I’m still in mourning that Wynnie is finishing Kindergarten in 3 months.
gorgeous boy, gorgeous girl, gorgeous ducks!
Oh, I know. Alex will be one in just 10 days (TEN DAYS) and I have no idea – none, zip, nada, nic – where the year has gone. How does this happen?
Can’t help with the hairtie thing, the only thing that ever stayed in my hair was elastic bands holding back a ponytail. I’d put clips to hold the fringe back and be adjusting them ALL DAY. Finally, I grew out the fringe and included it in the ponytail. Last January I gave up and had it cut short.
Isaac is indeed looking much more like a little boy. I LOVE his ride on plane.
With Regan I make a little ponytail in her bangs, and then pull that ponytail into a ponytail with the rest of her hair. When her fringe was shorter, I had to make a series of ponytails – like making a french braid out of ponytails. It was the only way to keep her hair out of her face.
Isaac looks so sweet, but you’re right. It’s disgusting how quickly they grow up.
What adorable little kiddos you have! I stumbled upon your blog through the Friday Follow over at Mummy Time, and look forward to reading more of your posts!
Smiles,
Sarah
Holy crap you are right, those kids are growing like weeds! I though mine was growing fast but seriously! He is 14 months already? You need to stop feeding them or something. LOL.
My goodness, they are so grown up!
I can’t help with the hairtye thing – I have trouble finding ones that will stay in my hair. The girl is curly so not so much a problem for her.
My son turns 28 next week, I still can’t work out were my baby went
wonderful photos so proud issac is walking
