I just shouted at my daughter for chopping a lemon into pieces with a filleting knife. While I’m proud that she didn’t chop her fingers off, I’m rather unimpressed that she destroyed my next-to-last lemon.
At the same time, Isaac ran away outside, holding a bowl of water and pretending he didn’t hear me asking him to lay down and get changed. Again.
I’ve got no idea what he is doing with the bowl.
For that matter, I’ve got no idea why Amy wanted a lemon.
Considering they’ve decided to converse solely in puppy whines (making me tell Amy more than once “If you continue to sound like a puppy, I’ll put you outside like one”) and squeaks, I’ve probably got no chance of finding out.
This has been my Sunday.
How was your weekend?
Lemon trees are one of the staples in my gardens. I love being able to go out of a morn and get a lemon for some honey lemon tea.
And Yay for Amy’s excellent dexterity. 🙂
This Sunday has been about sleep, working on hula hoops and a small tabby that is being uber clingy after we so rudely spent the evening away from her side last night.
My weekend was a weekend of two halves…
Yesterday I slept and wandered around the house, then went out to dinner.
Today I was out the house and heading to Sydney by 6:30am, did a 3 hour reffing course, and then I came home via Penrith Westfield and spent money, and the backroads. I got home at 5pm….am now looking at the very very large pile of ironing wondering if I can get it to do itself.
imaginative play?
My weekend has been beyond busy and stressful. So status quo maintained.

The evidence speaks for itself. Clearly they are working together and making lemonade.
Probably the same reason that Emily now will only eat and drink out of a bowl like a cat, climbs on my ple of things packed away to move even when I’ve told her twenty times not to, chases the cat then cries when the cat hides, whinges that she can’t reach any of the food (after the coconut and margarine incidents I have stored all of the ‘interesting’ foods up high) or insists on changing her mind on which DVD she wants to watch every 30 seconds until I yell ‘ENOUGH!’ Hehe.
Max is on the stairs with the ipad, Zack is currently doing a “show” of playing Rayman on the xbox (which includes him giving a running commentary of exactly what he’s doing every second of the game), and I’m attempting to remember the way my mum used to do her beef olive casserole… 😉
And it’s not even 3pm yet… yay! 😛
Annie has been squawking like a very loud chicken all afternoon. I have beginnings of a migraine. Her way of dealing with start of school year.
