I noticed an odd referring URL today when I was checking my stats.
So, as you do, I clicked to follow it back, to find out where people were clicking from.
I wasn’t expecting to find this though:
The web server you are attempting to reach has a list of IP addresses that are NOT allowed to access this site and your IP address is on this list.
Maybe poking at the Premier gets you blacklisted.
Heh.

Actually, I was under no illusions I would be allowed to check out where the visitor had been referred from, due to the Admin part of the URL. I bet if *you* click over to the site, you will get the same blocked message.
And of course it’s probably just a wording issue that SHOULD say ‘IP addresses of ALLOWED computers have been logged and unfortunately, you aren’t on the safe list. Go away.
But what if it’s not?
According to my stats, they clicked over to me a bit earlier from Bleeter’s blog – Bleeter the Serial Government Botherer – so it *could* be a blacklist.
Things like this amuse me.
Thoughts?

Please don’t forget I have that amazing competition running. Feel free to enter your blog, no obligations asked after the month. Your ad will be seen by around 12,000 people over the course of the month, give or take. Entries are open for another few days, until the 1st of March, so send me an entry!
yay! conspiracy theories! 🙂
In radio we were warned that every station was monitored for any sedition (my comment ‘The 40 year Old Virgin is a bio of John Howard’ went down well) so you’ve probably hit Conroy’s shit-list or something from the net.
Go you 😉
Haha, awesome! You are going to be Tasmania’s public enemy #1!
Go You! I’d be proud 🙂
What is REALLY STINKIN SAD is that folks like you are not the enemy. Folks who are the enemy of the state run for office.
Bwaaa! 😛
They’re scared of you, you dangerous Tasmanian housewife….with the power of words, a mind to think with, and internet access. Very dangerous….to idiots.
Cool. Wonder if they signed up for your feed.
So, I checked out the URL. Is my computer blocked because I read your blog? Crumbs, am I some sort of revolutionary by association? I do hope so!
My guess is because it is a government agency that has accessed your site anyone would get the blocked access IP thingy. They are on an intranet probably. ‘Someone’ at work from there is reading your blog either when they should be working or they are employed to spy on young mothers with children!!!! Sad so sad.
I get the same page up here in Canada when I follow it back. Their IP discrimination knows no bounds!
Jeez, talk about big brother tactics!
Ooooh! You’ve been blacklisted. Become a hacker and get on in there…..
P.S. you do know I was just kidding, wouldn’t want you getting into serious trouble.
I really think this is part of the tools the State Library has used to put your blog on their catalog. It’s just leaked a private URL as the referrer instead of washing it with an externally available catchall. Very bad from their security point of view, but nothing overtly nefarious.
Rabble rouser! ; )
