Give Away Time !!!We Have A Winner!!!

by Veronica on April 22, 2008

in Life

Did you know that it is give away time again? No? I didn’t either until I was over at the lovely Witchypoo’s place reading.

Seems that I need to work out something to give away!

Because I am in Australia, how about I give you $25 via paypal? That way I don’t have to worry about the postage costs, or remembering to go to to the post office. Also, it means that everyone can enter no matter where you are. I’m nice like that.

To be eligible for the $25 (and yes, you HAVE to read this bit) I want to know what you would do if money was no object for you.

And I do mean, if money was NO object at all.

I will be very interested to hear what everyone has to say.

Now, I do know that some people have an objection to paypal, so if that is the case, I’m sure you and I could work something out. A starbucks gift card or an online gift voucher or something. I’m not phased, as long as it is all to the tune of $25AU.

Also, you can grab yourself a second entry (because who doesn’t need TWO chances at money!) by subscribing to my feed.

Everyone wants to know about my issues with Amy sleeping and how we can’t seem to fall pregnant for a second time. Hey, you can always unsubscribe if after a week you decide you hate me.

Right?

I will draw the winner Saturday using a random number generator to pick the winner. I will then get in touch with you via email, or you can check back here to see who won. I am going to draw it Saturday because of the time differences. I mean, you would hate to get here Friday your time zone, to find out that entries had closed.

Anyway, go on and leave me a comment about what you would spend unlimited amounts of money on.

You can find the list of participants here.

If money were no object? Wow – what a question!! That gets the imagination flowing, doesn’t it? I think if money were no object I would take my entire family (yes, including my in-laws because I’d want to be fair) to Disney World so that we could all enjoy it and bond. My grandmother wanted to do that, but she passed away last April and was never able to, so I would want to do it in order to make her wish come true.

Thanks for the contest!!

If money were no object, there are so many things I would like to do – some personal – some charitable – some foolish – some for my kids – and some for some of the people I’ve met out here in the Blogosphere. For you, I would build you a proper house with a proper septic system. And, of course, I would have to travel to Tasmania to supervise. And I would bring a whole shipload of Tootsie Rolls.

Wow – money is no object. There’s so much to do! Pay off the house. College funds and nest eggs for the kids. Travel – Italy, Canada (again, it is so beautiful there!), Australia…the list goes on. Adopt and/or be foster parents. Add more charities to our giving list. That would be a good start. Thank you for a wonderful giveaway! Great question!

I actually think about this a lot. I would fix up my house top to bottom with all the things I have been wanting to do – including landscaping, new furniture etc….

I would love to adopt a little girl from someplace – where ever would be easiest.

I would give friends and family members each a little chunk of money to make sure they were all doing fine.

And then I would enjoy life with no money worries πŸ™‚

I would TRAVEL – Europe and Disney primarily. What a wonderful daydream!

Kimberly April 23, 2008 at 12:41 am

If money were no object at all we’d be living in a four bedroom house right now. We are a family of four (including four cats and a dog too) living in a TINY one bedroom condo. My “bedroom” is also the living, the playroom and my office. My husband and I sleep on a day bed with a pop up and our “yard” is a 6′ x 12′ falling apart balcony. Oh what we wouldn’t give for a house with a yard!!!!!!!

I’d also get a new car. My cars windows don’t roll down (dead motor) and I have no working AC. So summer is REAL FUN (if you know what I mean).

I would also build a new animal shelter. The one we have where we live is tiny and falling apart. I would also make sure that all homeless animals get food, shelter and medical car.

YIKES… I could go on and on… but you get the idea.

I would quit my part time job that I run from my home. And yes, I’d probably hire a cleaning service. Probably. Those are the greedy, selfish things.

Now, I know that I would donate quite a bit of money to various organizations. I would probably pay to fund a rescue club for Labrador Retrievers, and I know I would work with the Humane Society too. And I am not sure what group I would help with my money, I would have to do some careful searching for what I consider to be the biggest area of need, and the most efficient way to spend money. First I’d pay off all my debts. Then we’d go buy a nice new house, custom designed and everything. We’d put enough money in the bank so we could live off the interest without making another cent for the rest of our lives.

Then dh wouldn’t quit working (although he would quit Wal-Mart he’d just work harder at school), he would keep earning money as a writer or whatever. What would we do with the money we made? We’d have fun giving it away! Yay!

Right now, being concerned about the economy and all, I think we’d also build a self-sustainable house off the grid in some place remote, and stock it with about 10 years of food and seeds. We’d have wind and solar power there. One can dream right?

If money was no object we’d start adopting tomorrow! In the mean time, we’re waiting until we can save enough to adopt internationally debt free πŸ™‚

I would pay off all my debts and all my family’s debts, including mortgages. I would give each one a car of their choice. Then I would travel and write.

If money were no object I’d set up a respite centre/perfect school/holiday village for families of children with disabilities – my friends and I have often discussed this

I would feed the hungry, stop starvation, provide free medical help for the poor, open orphanages, open shelters for the homeless, support native missionaries through Gospel for Asia, support Wycliffe, support Jesus Film project, distribute free Bibles and Gospel tracts, adopt children, and help my extended families out. My family and I would travel around the world and then become full-time missionaries in an unreached part of the world.

If money wasn’t an object to me I would do everything I could to find homes for animals in shelters and to provide more spaces for these animals so none of them would have to be put down. I would also do all I could to promote spaying and neutering of these animals as well as provide food, vaccinations, medical care, and micro chipping to them.

If money was no object? Ooooh…. I’d start out by endowing a bunch of our favorite charities with a heap of money. Then, I’d buy a Smart car, and an organic farm and set up a school for the performing arts. That’s if money was no object….. LOL!

If money wasn’t an object to me, I would devote my time to writing a novel. With all that free time, I’m sure I could come up a worthy idea!

Signed up for your feed as well.

Well, first I’d pay off all my debt, help out my family, buy a house, some furniture and adopt a kid or two. Oh yah, and buy my husband a Harley Davidson.
