When Isaac was going through his major swallowing issues, I was looking for something, ANYTHING that he would eat. He’d just been discharged from hospital after contracting a bad ‘flu and losing weight, so I was at my wits end.
Enter Smooze Fruit Ices – found in the dessert section of the supermarket (where I was also picking up custard and jelly) I thought they would be interesting to trial.
They were, frankly, delicious.
After we’d eaten two whole boxes of them, I contacted the company to tell them how much I loved it and together, we worked out a way for you, dear Internet, to share in the love.
Smooze is made out fruit puree and coconut milk and each ice-cream is around 60 calories – making them a perfect summer treat.
They’ve been amazing for my morning sickness (which is the reason this giveaway didn’t go live sooner) and the children have been asking me to buy them more.

But Pink Guava would be mine if I could choose!
My six children would devour these – they sound delicious! And the husband would probably sneak a few when no one was looking too.
Me! Several days into a stay in hospital, feeling vile, hot n unlike eating, a cool and sweet treat like smooze is DEFINATELY what I need!

This is great for my son given it doesn’t have colours. He reacts badly to colours so we try to avoid….and this one is a great ice cream for him!

I got a Smooze sample a while and loved it. No way I would be sharing them with my kids. They’re all for me me me! (It’s a toss up whether I’d share them with my husband…)
Easy! They would be going straight to work (in the freezer few know about) and be used as ‘incentives’ for my students. I work with children with severe disabilities, and we are always looking for FUN, delicious, SENSORY experiences to use. PICK US!
Who would be eating it? I would hope just me, but knowing my family I’ll probably get one, Professor will get one or two, and the rest will be sneakily thieved by my parents, brother in law and nephews!
