Bridgewater Farm Fete

in Life

I went to the Farm Fete today, after last year when we missed it.

I had a great time and more to the point, so did Amy. There were all kind of animals to look at and she raced around, smiling. She wasn’t too sure about the Emu’s however. Neither was Isaac.

We came home with 6 new gum trees (we paid $10 for all 6) and lots of photos. I had a BALL taking photos of the event, although, it would have been easier if Isaac wasn’t playing koala and clinging to my front at every possible chance.

Isaac was a tired little man, at one point he fell asleep in my arms, but only for a few minutes.

Isaac had had enough.

I’d forgotten how much fun rural shows/fetes are. More of them in my future I suspect.

More from me soon, I’ve been tired and sick lately and the writing is suffering. Sorry.

More photos here.

Ahhhh. I love a fête too. Did they have a produce tent? Ribbons for best jam and biggest punpkin?

Gorgeous photos…..thank you.

I love these pictures. I grew up in Colorado and Indiana in the States, and we often went to both State Fairs. They were so different than the State Fairs in Alaska. The farm shows in England are different again, and it looks like Tasmania’s are still different. I’m amazed though that the children are all the same, so thrilled with the baby animals and so tired by the end of the day.

Take care of yourself. I suspect that the writing isn’t suffering. Rather, it is percolating in the background. Excellent writing has a way of coming out when it is ready. I know that it is worth the wait.

OH NO I MISSED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s because I no longer drive past the signs!

My favourite rural one is Bream Creek Show by far. We have a fantastic day out every year.

We’re going to the Autumn festival tomorrow at New Norfolk, I’ve never been.

Looks absolutely lovely. I love the wooden bowls and plates. I won a ribbon once for an embroidery sampler I entered in our local one, but I haven’t done that in ages.

Did you get one of the glo bracelets too? Because that would be AWESOME!

Love fete’s. Isaac looks a tired little man.

Hope you feel better soon. Off to look at the rest of the pictures now…

Gorgeous! Don’t sleepy children feel lovely 😉 Those pens and the wooden bowls and plates are amazing. Hoping to drag my beloved to the next Show/Fete/ Fayre in our area (he’s not a fan) in the hopes of stocking up on some cheap plants etc.

There is nothing better than a child sleeping. Well, nothing unless I’m the one getting uninterrupted sleep… But, I digress, the show/fete looks like fun! Love those pictures.

I love rural shows, although I haven’t been to one in many years. The closest I come to one is the summer markets at the beach at Semaphore. I really love those wooden bowls and plates you have pictured.

I hope you’re feeling better soon.

Thanks for playing along. xx

What Marilyn said! I liked the pens too.

Great pictures. I wish we had things like that here. We have a continental market in the park sometimes where they mostly sell french cheese. Next time they’re here I’ll take pictures.

I hope you feel better soon.
