Lovely day.

It’s been a lovely day.

I KNOW!

How often do I get to say that? My days are normally fraught with never ending toys, tantrums and issues, but today, well it’s been a good day.

IĀ  even feel (I know, GASP if you want, I know I did) like I’ve managed to get on top of the housework (I am not domestic. the thought of being domestic gets me sharpening my eye gouging spoons, ready for stabbing something) and the kids have behaved.

It was all topped off by the fact that Isaac snuggled into my chest and fell asleep, after hours of fighting a nap (but remaining happy, again, wow) and then, I got to lay on the couch all snuggled up with my son snuggled firmly under my chin.

You know, sometimes a snuggled baby is all you need.

Because it’s a Sunday, I’ll point you to my food blog and tell you to check out over there. Nothing much else happening on the internet for me, I’ve not written anything much.

Congratulations to Xbox4NappyRash, his blog is a finalist in the Best Irish Blog awards. It’s up to a panel of judges now and I hear he has some huge competition, but I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed anyways.

Barbara needs some help coming up with ways to keep her son entertained for 20 seconds while he uses his inhaler and spacer. What would keep a small boy entertained while he has to sit still and breathe? Go over and give her some ideas (I said singing, as did lots of others.)

Frogpondsrock is having a competition, she is also looking for inspiration. Enter as many times as you like, you might not win, but your comment might be the one to inspire her next set of work. I haven’t entered, probably because I can boss her into making me things without taking the prizes away from other people.

Also, if you want to weigh into the camera debate, she is asking for your opinion on what sort of camera she should be looking at. I’m pushing for a DSLR, but that’s because I love mine.

Uhm, I think that’s it for a lovely day/link roundup thing.

Now, I’ve got to go and check the slowcooker and start sharpening my spoons. I think I feel a bout of domesticity that needs stabbing.

Thankyou my sweeting. I would love all your readers to come over and comment. that would be fantastic, think of the inspiration they will give me. Yay. And also the ceramics they could win. It is a win win situation for everyone.(but mostly for me as I will be dreaming about their ideas for days.)
Also your gorgeous son says,” Nanny Nanny Nanny” very well.

Oh and as for the camera I am still dithering. One day I want a high zoom compact camera and the next day I want a DSLR.. decisions decisions decisions

Thank goodness for lovely days! Glad to hear that yours was.

Three cheers for lovely days and snuggling children. How I miss those snuggles. We had a lovely 6″ of snow on our first day of spring but no matter, it gave the kids their last big hurrah in the snow and me an excuse to bake pie and dither around on my computer.

Hooray!!!

It’s so lovely to have one of those days as opposed to one of THOSE days šŸ˜‰ Congratulations, and I hope you took photos to look back on when it all goes back to business as usual!

Great minds think alike as I used my slow cooker this morning and made a rather unctuous beef in red wine casserole, part of which is destined to become a pie filling for tonight.

I’ve also had a lovely day. Perfect weather, a garage sale to go to, (three books and a crystal bottle, yay), started some new rose cuttings, old roses, SCENTED!, deep red, got three cupboards sorted and organised, watched the complete season 2 of The Big Bang Theory. Bliss.

Thank you for making me part of your lovely Sunday. Mine’s just started and some linky love was a lovely thing to see.

I’d like to say that mine’s only starting now because I have a lovely husband who gets up with the kids while I sleep at the weekend. However, that only happened because I was up from 1am until 5.30am with a very grumpy boy.

Yawn, hope my day continues to improve!

Lol – just clicked on my link, wondering why I hadn’t had an email telling me you’d linked. You’ve linked my name to Xbox!

Martin March 21, 2010 at 9:21 pm

Barbara, are you my mam? Do I need an inhaler?

Are those MY feet?

Veronica March 21, 2010 at 9:32 pm

Martin, shush you! Obviously I’ve not had enough sleep. Links are all fixed now – normally I check all links as soon as I publish, but I forgot today!

Sorry Barbara!

I LOVE good days šŸ™‚

Sometimes they are few and far between.

I also love snuggly babies. Mine was snuggly today too, must have been the day for it!

Mrs. C March 22, 2010 at 3:30 am

I love snuggled babies, too! šŸ™‚ Hope all is well with you, my friend.

Checking out your blog from Kristin at Wanderlust and love it. Can’t wait to read more. I liked your post about your boy becoming a toddler. I have a baby boy turned toddler as well. He is quite a character!

Lovely Sunday’s are my very favourite thing. I don’t have a baby anymore to snuggle up to me. But on a good note my Sunday was good, no noisy teenagers in, husand who has been in a bad mood was in a good one, I didn’t have to drive so maxed on pain killers and that meant I could relax properly without pretending that I was relaxed if you get my meaning. Will look at my favourite food blog tomorrow as back to one eyed reading tonight. Just about to have some ovaltine and go give spouse a kiss, lucky him… Here’s to Happy Sundays.
