Amy awoke this morning to find a chocolate rabbit and an egg sitting on the mantlepiece.
‘OOOOOOOOH!’ She goes. ‘Chocowate!’
‘Look’s like the Easter Bunny came.’ I replied.
She looked at me strangely.
‘Because it’s Easter, the Easter Bunny comes and brings chocolate eggs.’
[Yeah, try explaining THAT logic to a 2yo]
‘Maybe it’s Amy’s wabbit…’
‘Of course it’s Amy’s. The Easter Bunny brought it for you.’
‘Maybe Amy have the wabbit?’
‘You can have the rabbit.’
‘YAY! YIPPEEE! WOOHOOO! AMY’S WABBIT!!!’

We received a parcel from Sharon in Western Australia yesterday. As soon as Amy saw the pink jumper Sharon had knitted, she immediately declared it a ‘Princess jumper!’. I think the jumper is going to be much liked. Isaac got a jumper too and it will fit him beautifully. Thankyou Sharon.

We bought a Wii Fit the other day. It took me until Nathan and I played on it to stop feeling guilty about spending the money.
However? It’s probably one of the best things I have bought. I feel so much better for doing the exercises each day.
And I mean, when everything is going to shit around you, the least you can do is exercise, right?

Nan’s chemo is knocking her around pretty badly. She’s terribly sick with it and it’s so hard to watch because dammit, I just want to make it better. Or easier. Or something.

I know Nan’s going through it, but I’m so grateful she was able to spend Easter. :]
When the real bunny comes over for Easter, don’t eat the cute chocolate eggs he leaves, ok, Amy? :p

So sorry to hear about your Nan. when my mum was having chemo, she didn’t tell any of us. We lived too far apart and didn’t keep in touch much, so we didn’t know anything until it was too late.

Glad the parcel arrived and the jumpers fit ok. Especially happy that Amy likes her one as she’s at the age where there are definite preferences with clothing choices and knowing Amy to be a child of firm convictions…..
Woo hoo for the wii Fit, now you can eat extra chocolate with a totally clear conscience because you are exercising!
Chemo sucks but hopefully it will buy some more good time for Nan. Has the hospital tried many different anti-nausea drugs? A change may help. Big hugs to you all.

I’m sorry to hear Nan’s having a rough time. I hope it’s helping and they find some anti-nausea drugs for her soon. I know it doesn’t help but I wish I could make it better too.

That’s one cute baby bunny you got there. So sorry to hear about your Nan, it made my grandmother so so sick herself when she went through chemo. Glad you had a good Easter, though.
