Oh dear.

Isaac standing. 10mths

Just oh dear.

He pulled up on the couch for the first time a few days ago. It was a wobbly start with plenty of falls. Today though, he has his feet sorted and he is upright and standing at every opportunity. Even if the only thing to pull up on is my hair, he is managing it.

He’s still so tiny! He’s meant to be my baby, not my upright mobile toddler.

Shit.

Update: In other news, remember that ChupaChup challenge I did a few weeks back? I would love it if you could head over HERE and give me a thumbs up? (It’s a facebook photo). In case the link decides to stop working (Facebooks permalinks are really odd) mine is the photo with Barbie in it.

Please?

He looks too little to be standing! But how cute

Oh, how quickly they go from innocent little bumps to walking talking bumps.

Oh god, poor you. How old is he now? I have had three walk between nine and ten months. Not funny at all…. But kinda cool nonetheless!

Awwww! You’ll have a toddler on your hands in no time at all (and we don’t need to warn you about what will happen then) *smirk*

Aww no more helpless baby now! 😛

Liked your pic. As in “liked” it. And like it anyway. Er… yeah… long day. *shuts up now*

I cannot believe he is STANDING already! That’s impossible. (shakes head) Next thing you know, he’s gonna be walking and talking…

Oh, I forgot, I can’t click on the like button on FB, because we’re not friends…yet.

Wowsers, it happens fast doesn’t it. As I was reading this my 8.5 month-old, sitting on my lap, was waving madly at the screen and saying “Hi! Hiiiiiiii! Hiiiiiiiiiiiii!” She loves looking at pics of other babies 😉

The good side of this is that he will tire himself out!!!! The downside possibly Amy will start to panic that he will catch up with her and may exhibit minor acts of jealousy. I remember being exasperated when Beth would push Alex back down, literally sit on him & shout
‘no, no walk, your the baby’

After the initial shock of squashed offspring we realised all the applause & clever boy treatment which he rightly deserved was making his sibling panic. We had to make special efforts at praising her also for her achievements & boy some days did we have to search amongst the naughty stuff to find them. I know each day brings new challenges but veronica he looks soooooo cute.

I had one walking very steadily at nine months, two at ten months. The youngest knew how, but with three older siblings carting him everywhere he had no need to walk. Until the first day of school when no.3 also started, then he was home alone with me and HAD to walk. So he did.
